There are actually food that help clean your teeth when you eat. The are called Detergent Foods (DF). DF are usually hard, firm or crispy-ish.
How to Eat Detergent Foods
Eat these in moderation as most do contain their own sugars and fats. DF are not a substitute for brushing / flossing. Follow a good oral hygiene regime. Try to eat DF after a meal. They should be eaten last.
Examples of DF Foods
Celery, Carrots, Apples, Cucumber, Cheese, Lettuce. Eating these foods help remove plaque, old foods and any other film that may be on or between your teeth.
