















Gum health refers to the condition of the gums (gingiva) surrounding teeth. Healthy gums are pink, firm, and fit tightly around teeth, free of bleeding, swelling, or infection; poor gum health (gingivitis/periodontitis) involves inflammation, bleeding, recession, and can lead to tooth loss.

🦷 Eat detergent Foods (DF)
🦷 Brush your tongue every time you brush your teeth.
🦷 Avoid sugary foods and drinks.
🦷 Floss at least once a day.
🦷 Drink lots of water.
🦷 Brush teeth at least twice a day.
🦷 Chew on mint/parsley leaves or cloves.
🦷 Use baking soda or hydrogen peroxide.
There are actually food that help clean your teeth when you eat.
The are called Detergent
Foods (DF). DF are usually hard, firm or crispy-ish.
Eat these in moderation as most do contain their own sugars and fats. DF are not a substitute for brushing / flossing. Follow a good oral hygiene regime. Try to eat DF after a meal. They should be eaten last.
Celery, Carrots, Apples, Cucumber, Cheese, Lettuce.
Eating these foods help remove plaque, old foods and any other film that may be on or between your teeth.
