Your First Visit

Your first visit is not just a quick look at your teeth. It is a chance for us to understand your mouth, your health, your concerns, and your goals.

At The Smile Centre, we take a careful, wellness-minded approach to dental care. We look at the full picture — your teeth, gums, bite, jaw, medical history, lifestyle habits, and any symptoms you may be experiencing.

Whether something hurts, it has been a while, or you simply want to take better care of your smile, we will meet you where you are.

What to Expect.

Your first visit may include:
A conversation about your dental concerns, health history, and goals.
A review of your diet, nutrition, habits, and home-care routine
Blood pressure and selected wellness checks, where appropriate
Checks of the jaw, TMJ, neck, thyroid area, tongue, and soft tissues
A detailed examination of your teeth, gums, bite, and existing dental work
Gum measurements to check for signs of gum disease
Screening for oral health changes, including ulcers, lumps, patches, or unusual areas
Dental X-rays or photographs, if needed
Clear explanations of what we find
A practical treatment plan, if treatment is needed

We will explain what we are doing as we go along. No lectures. No pressure. Just clear information so you can make informed decisions about your care.

A More Complete Way to Look at Your Smile

Your mouth does not exist in isolation. Gum health, nutrition, stress, sleep, medications, medical conditions, and daily habits can all affect your oral health.

That is why your first visit is designed to help us understand not only what is happening in your mouth, but also what may be contributing to it.

Our goal is to help you leave with clarity, not confusion.

Our Promise

Your first visit is about understanding, not judgment.

We are here to help you build a strong foundation for better oral health — one clear step at a time.
